Poetry to the Max!

Before reading, please note that neither of us are poets.
Thank you.
Tell us which one we should turn in for our English project. :]

If I die before I wake
Number eight will surely take.
For I have always wanted to see
A place that I'll never be.

In time we make haste
Never stopping to smell the paste.
Accomplish what you can before you die
For there will never be another tie.

There are numbers on the paper
With words written down to a taper.
All scrawled along the edges
Never leave life without unspoken pledges.

Number eight will always be
The most special to me.
In the quickness of flying by
I will have done these things before I die.

You don't have to have a list
Just think of things you might have missed.
Don't look down from the clouds and say
I should have siezed the day.

I should've had that almost kiss.
I should've given one last hug.
If I was angry I should have shook my fist.
I should've squished another bug.

Yet to my regret I was a perfect angel.
Always doing what I was told and being too nice.
I never did what I truly wanted
And that was my sacrafice.

My mother told me to help my neighboor
But I wanted to go out with my boyfriend.
Not to cause a fight, I helped.
My neighboor killed me. The end.
I would have siezed the day if I could go back again.
